R.I.P is the only philosophy club at KMLA that I started with friends. While the first meeting took place in winter 2018, R.I.P was officially recognized as a school club in spring 2019. Mr. Lee, our philosophy teacher, helped us initiate the club.
We do not confine our activities within the purely academic sector. Instead, we try to spread the joy of boundless thinking and intellectualizing, which are the cores of philosophy. We meet every Thursday to discuss various things - god, metaphysics, free will, love, and much more.
At R.I.P, I started a philosophy olympiad mentoring program for the underclassman. Through the program, I taught philosophy theories to 11th graders and 10th graders willing to participate in the contest.
